Vail vacation rentals & cabins

The perfect stay in Vail & Beaver Creek, Colorado

They may be 30 minutes apart by road, but Vail and Beaver Creek are soulmates when it comes to the very best in Colorado resorts. Our vacation rentals in Vail and Beaver Creek introduce you to the world of Swiss villages in the USA, and almost-perfect powder snow that will satisfy the most demanding skier or snowboarder.

Location image
Location image

Wander through the quaint cobbled streets of Vail and you could easily believe that you’d been transported across the ocean to a Swiss alpine village. Despite its very recent history, Vail looks and feels much older. It’s chic, it’s sophisticated, and the picture-postcard chalets and cabins in pastel colours make it very different from the chilled-out yet exclusive Beaver Creek. The restaurants are family-friendly and the après ski is vibrant and entertaining. The skiing is sublime, with some of the best black runs in the whole of the Rockies to challenge even the most skilled skier.

Beaver Creek is a little more laid back, with a bohemian atmosphere that’s incredibly endearing. It has a reputation for exceptional Beaver Creek vacation rentals and villas, elegant shops and restaurants serving exquisite cuisine. The snow here is almost as perfect as it gets and is particularly suitable for snowboarding.

Thingsyou can’t miss in Vail & Beaver Creek
  • Zoom over the snow on a snowmobile, a unique way to explore Vail Valley.
  • Enjoy some of the best fly-fishing spots on the Gold Medal waters.
  • Drive bumper cars on ice at Vail’s John A. Dobson Ice Arena.

“If someone asked me what sums up Vail & Beaver Creek, I would say that (apart from the world-class ski resorts and charming Swiss-like villages) it is the sense of calm you feel when surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes.”

HOW TO GET THERE

Make the journey as memorable as the arrival. Your dedicated concierge can arrange transportation from the closest airport to your Vail & Beaver Creek chalet.

  • By plane There are two options for those flying into either Vail or Beaver Creek. The closest airport is Vail/Eagle County Airport, which is suitable for smaller private charter planes. The larger Denver International Airport is further away, but is open all year round and is a hub for both regional and international flights. Your dedicated concierge will be happy to arrange transfers from either airport to your vacation rental, or to have a hire vehicle waiting for you when you arrive.
  • By car The roads are excellent in this part of the Rockies, but you will need to ensure you have winter tyres fitted, or even snow chains in extreme conditions. As this is a mountainous region, some of the roads to our Vail and Beaver Creek vacation rentals are quite steep. During the winter, you will need a 4x4 vehicle to be able to access some driveways. The most direct route into Vail is the I-70. Vail is 100 miles from Denver and the journey takes around three to four hours, depending on conditions and traffic. Try to avoid peak times in the morning and afternoon as the I-70 can be congested at these times.

LOCAL TIPS

  • Your Vail lift ticket is also valid for nearby Beaver Creek. You may find that the lines are a bit shorter at Beaver Creek when Vail is at its busiest.
  • Go snowboarding, try fly fishing or put on a pair of in-line skates and go, go, go! There are classes held on the slopes and local guides willing to teach you something new or to show you around.
  • In the winter the city is prepared for icy weather with heated streets and sidewalks, a luxury you won't find elsewhere.
