St John's Wood

Introducing St John's Wood

St John’s Wood is the birthplace of the London villa and, as you’d expect, its homes are some of the capital’s finest. The Beatles did much of their recording at Abbey Road Studios, close to idyllic Regent’s Park. The local high street has a neat line of high-end chains and independent delicatessens, and the tube station is just a cork ball’s throw from Lord’s, the cathedral of English cricket.

The set for The Beatles famous album sleeve photograph. It has recently been given a Grade II-listed status.

      Lord's

The home of cricket, where batsmen and bowlers don the whites every weekend in the summer, English weather permitting.

If there’s a British version of Beverly Hills, it’s here. Celebrities find sanctuary from the paparazzi behind walled, gated properties, while nannies, gardeners, maids and chauffeurs hover around them.
