Introducing London Bridge
Home to The Shard (London’s tallest building), London Bridge is full of striking sights. Walk along the South Bank and you’ll reach the Tate Modern and Shakespeare’s Globe. Borough Market is a short distance away from the river, and is the kind of place where you can sample cheese from the Hebrides, a plate of Kentish oysters and slow-cooked pork within 20 yards.

Borough Market
A market was first established in Borough High Street in the 13th century and it relocated to its present site in 1756. More recently the market has become the focal point of London’s foodie-fuelled culinary revolution.
The Shard
The massive glass tower that now looms over London Bridge station was a long time coming. It’s now impossible to miss from almost anywhere in the city.
Tate Modern now pulls in almost 5m visitors a year and has become the late-arrival anchor tenant of a river side stretch of cultural powerhouses that no other city can match.
